Frank Farmer  > Camping-Trips > Hetch Hetchy 2005
Overnight backpack trip with Jason, to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, in Yosemite National Park. Hoping to cross Falls Creek and check out the summit of Hetch Hetchy Dome. Would we be able to do that? A great trip, in any event. Upon returning home, we were saddened to learn of the disappearance of Michael Ficery, who was solo backpacking near the area we visited. He is still missing.

Frank Farmer > Beginning our cross-country stretch. We've passed the junction for Cherry Lake and headed up towards Beehive a little more. The terrain opens up and the route to the east is pretty easy to figure out.
Frank Farmer > Some of the terrain we crossed. We had waypoints loaded into our GPS, for good measure.
