Frank Farmer > Susan and Scott -- Time to head for Baker, and some breakfast! Scott had been telling us all about the Mad Greek in Baker.

Frank Farmer > Kelso Depot -- This building is being restored, to become the new park headquarters and visitor center. It will include a restaurant.

Frank Farmer > Postscript -- I brushed through some spiny plant leaves, while descending from Granite Peak, and got stuck in the knee with this thorn. It took about two weeks to work it's way out. Very painful! I told my SoCalHiker friends about it at camp, and they all advised me to let it come out on it's own -- don't try to dig it out. Turned out to be good advice, but it sure was painful! Yikes! Those desert plants really know how to defend themselves.
