Alas, all good things come to an end, so Scott resumed towing the sled. Scott and both Franks were on foot (with snowshoes at the ready), while Jason had skis. The snowshoes were not needed on the groomed road.

Snow camping trip with the Nor Cal Hikers (NCH). We hiked and skied from Badger Pass to the Ostrander Rocks. Our group consisted of Jason, Frank M, Scott, Kristin, Paige, Taylor, Dave, Ann, Steve, and Frank F. Some of us stayed two nights, some one. Some dayhiked up Sentinel Dome and beyond. Everyone had a great time! Here are trip photos by Jason and Paige.

Frank Farmer > Trip Map. We hiked from Badger Pass Ski Resort to our campsite near Ostrander Rocks, about 7.5 miles each way. The folks staying two nights did a snowshoe dayhike to Sentinel Dome and then cross country down to the Glacier Point Road. The dayhike was also about 7.5 miles.
