Sunny weather in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. A group of SoCalHiker friends hiking together in a strenuous loop, over Old Baldy and the Devils's Backbone. Would they make it to the summit? Would they make it to the Baldy Ski Lift in time?
Snow-covered north ridge of Mount San Antonio. Clearly, this was a very nice day to be up here, giving this peak a benign feeling. But it was obvious that severe, dangerous conditions occur here on other days.
