Sunny weather in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. A group of SoCalHiker friends hiking together in a strenuous loop, over Old Baldy and the Devils's Backbone. Would they make it to the summit? Would they make it to the Baldy Ski Lift in time?

Frank Farmer > WLD checks out the dropoffs on either side of the Devil's Backbone! This was a very, very nice day to be here! No snow, no cornices, and the slipouts were easy to deal with. Obviously, on other days, it wouldn't be so friendly.

Frank Farmer > Done with hiking! Descending on the Mount Baldy Ski Lift. I ran low on film, and wanted to save a few shots for the ski lift. It would have been nice to have another roll of film, to get the last portion of the Devil's Backbone. But you get the idea.
