New hiking boots -- I got a pair of new Asolo 535s with my REI 20% coupon, in anticipation of snowpacked sierra backpacking this summer. Here they are, all nice and clean. Would they get all dusty and trashed out today?

Dayhike around Mount Diablo in Northern California. A nice, sunny day -- warm but not too hot. A great hike, organized by Bonnie. Same hike as 2004, except in a counter-clockwise direction, rather than clockwise. Our group consisted of Bonnie, Daniela, Bree, and Frank.

Frank Farmer > We started out by taking the Summit Trail up to the top. I guess you could say we'll have dessert first. Nahhh, the entire hike is A-OK.
