Frank Farmer  > Day-Trips > Mount Rose 2006
Dayhike to Mount Rose, with Bonnie, Bree, Jean, and Gail from the County Hikers. Mount Rose is in Nevada, near Lake Tahoe, between Incline Village and Reno. Happy to find that the hikers trail has been re-routed off the old access road. Encountered several other surprises on this hike, all pleasant. It was a cool, sunny day, with just a touch of hazy forest fire smoke.

Frank Farmer > Little creek
Frank Farmer > Gail crosses the creek. This trail had nice stepping stones at most of the creek crossings. Obviously, the creek flow is very seasonal. It is low this late in the year, but earlier it was probably quite impressive.
Frank Farmer > Junction with the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT). We will be part of the TRT, until the turnoff for Mount Rose.
