Terrific snowshoeing expedition with David, Bex, and Jason. We climbed the Elephant's Back, near Carson Pass, then made our way over to Winnemucca Lake.
Tough shrub on the summit of Elephant's Back -- A very harsh environment. Buried under snow for half the year. Dry and sun-baked for the other half. Wind-blasted year round.
