Bonnie came up with a great idea -- hike the Mount Judah Loop near Donner Pass off Old US Hwy 40. Our group consisted of Heide, Jean, Bonnie, and me. It was a great sunny day for a hike, with strong winds on all the summits we visited. We checked out Peak 7696, Donner Peak, Mount Judah, and Mount Lincoln, and a couple miles along the PCT. The skies were relatively clear on this hike, a refreshing change from the smoky views of recent weeks, from all the wildland fires throughout the region.
