Frank Farmer  > Day-Trips > Mount Diablo 2005 #2
Summit loop dayhike at Mount Diablo State Park, with Bonnie and Daniela. We were joined by a new friend, Lee, at a designated meeting point along the way. Cloudy but pleasant weather. An excellent hike.

Frank Farmer > Bonnie kindly chauffered this trip. Another hiker, Lee, responded to the trip posting. We linked up with email and cell phone, and will meet him along the way.

Frank Farmer > Starting out on our hike, after passing through Juniper Campground -- The first part of the Deer Flat Trail goes down hill and over into the Deer Flat Basin
Frank Farmer > Everything is dry and ready for winter. The annual plants have died off, but are still beautiful
Frank Farmer > Bald Ridge Panorama, from the Deer Flat Trail -- Low clouds were with us all day. After a while the sun came out, but eventually a solid upper ceiling closed in.
Frank Farmer > Bald Ridge Panorama -- We are heading over there. We'll hopefully link up with Lee, a new hiker we are meeting for the first time.
