Dayhike at Black Diamond Preserve, with Karen, Lisa, Ron, Paul, and Jennifer. A day well-spent. I visited here in 2004 with the County Hikers.

Frank Farmer > As we approached Lisa, she spotted a deceased infant bobcat, in the grass to the right of the rock she's standing on. It appeared to have died fairly recently, and did not show signs of physical damage. We speculated that it's mother may have accidentally killed it.
Frank Farmer > Ron above me, on the Ridge Trail. Everyone else toured the mine tunnel, except for Ron and me. I skipped out on the tunnel, having seen it in 2004. I knew I'd being hiking slowly, so getting up the trail seemed like a good idea.

Frank Farmer > Impressive view of Mount Diablo. So far, so good, with the threat of rain. Maybe we'll escape without getting drenched!
