Spillway below Echo Lake Dam -- This was my first visit to Echo Lake, despite living in Sacto for 25 years. This place is too good to miss, and a sunny day well after Labor Day is the best time to come. Nice conditions, smaller crowds.

Dayhike to Echo Lake and beyond, with Rich and the County Hikers. My first visit to this trailhead, and hopefully not the last.
