Dayhike with Karen, from Barker Pass near Tahoe along the PCT, to the edge of Granite Chief Wilderness. We contemplated an ascent of Twin Peaks, but decided to call it a recon hike instead. It was a bright, sunny day, with clear skies and mild temps. Lots of water flowing down the east side of the sierra crest, with lingering snow patches and plenty of wildflowers. Great day to explore a new area where neither of us had ever been. Another jewel in the backyard!
