Heading up the trail -- This trail segment is not in Desolation Wilderness, but it is enroute. This route is part of the Pacific Crest Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Very clear water! Pretty amazing, considering that there are a many houses and cabins near the lake. The resource management must be pretty strictly enforced!
